The United Nations General Assembly was formed in 1945 with the purpose to broach with current situations that involve peace and security, the admission and election of new members and the budgetary matters within the United Nations. Due to its importance throughout the international scene, the General Assembly is now one of the main organs of the entire UN. It is currently comprised of all 193 members of the United Nations and covers a broad range of worldwide crisis as belic conflicts, civil wars and threats to international security.
